Michelle Carew Spirit Honoree, Steve Lavin

A dedicated friend to PCRF for over 15 years, Steve Lavin has served as head coach for the men's basketball teams at UCLA, St. John's, and now San Diego. Lavin himself faced his own cancer diagnosis, has a family history of cancer, and has remained an advocate for childhood cancer research, Coach Lavin has helped PCRF and organizations alike to raise millions of dollars for lifesaving research. Notably, Coach Lavin embraced PCRF's Dribble for Victory Over Cancer fundraising platform at each campus throughout his dedicated career. It is our great honor to present Steve Lavin with this year's Michelle Carew Spirit Award, for all he has done for children in the past, present, and future generations.
